The knob on this lid is only spot welded in place. It fell off after about a year. The rest of the lid maintains its integrity so I’ve used it without the knob for years. Recently looked for a replacement and the photos and description are inadequate to determine whether this manufacturing method has been remedied (replaced by bolt on or a different weld), so I won’t be spending more $$ on a new lid that will fail in the same way.
