The smaller fine mesh filter screen that comes in the kit had some small fraying around the edges on the backside so I didn't end up using it. The rest of the kit works fine though. I would leave 5 stars if it wasn't for the frayed screen because we've had our Frieling French press for years and it has been a great product.
