water trapped in lid as well... January 27, 2021 Reviewer: Alex A from ON Canada   Generally happy with product although I also had water sloshing around in the lid as another purchaser had. I put the lid upside down on a gas burner at very low flame and was able to boil out the water but wonder why the lid was not sealed at the joint where the tube meets the inside surface of the lid. I presume that, if you drop a hot lid into wash water, the contraction of air inside will suck in water as well.  Would be nice if, as a finishing touch, that seam could be welded/braised  as well. Excellent January 4, 2021 Reviewer: Matt from Ontario, Canada   Very happy with my 36oz unit after three years of daily use.  Well built and still functions as it did new.   Was lazy and put it through dishwasher and somehow water got trapped in the hollow area of the lid.  Bit of a nuisance but it shakes out / evaporates. Size Doesn't Matter December 5, 2020 Reviewer: Sylvia Kikuyama from Kula, HI United States   I bought my first Frieling French Press in the 8oz. size which is perfect for my morning cup of coffee.  I love it!!  I ended up purchasing the larger size (two cups) for my son-in-law and one for my brother for Christmas. Insulating quality is just okay. November 22, 2020 Reviewer: Ben Ferrer from San Francisco, CA United States   The look and build quality are great, but the coffee doesn't stay hot as long as I had hoped for an insulated french press. This was one of the main reasons I made this purchase. I purchased the 44 oz model so it could double as a carafe for the coffee. Also, when pouring the bottom half of the container, the top and plunger can slip out of place during these steeper pours causing some grounds to spill into the mug. This is easy enough to mitigate by holding the plunger knob down while pouring. Was this review helpful to you?
