Adds unwanted rusty smell June 27, 2026 Reviewer: Mikael from Japan   I have been using smaller size of this press in Mirror Finish for almost 7 years. Extremely happy! I live in Japan, I ordered the frieling 36 oz #0144 from Amazon for when I have my friends over for coffee chats. I did not know frieling has several different finishes. Unfortunately, the bigger one in a brush finish leaves an unwanted nasty rusty metallic smell(odor) to the water or coffee! I've tried everything to get rid off the smell but the smell does not go away. I tried to sent a message via contact page to frieling, they have not responded back. I want to order another one, this time a "mirror finish" one but I wonder if the new one might also have the same problem! Was this review helpful to you?

4 years and going strong! June 20, 2026 Reviewer: Lynne from Lakewood   Bought my 23 oz press (and later an additional 36 oz) several years ago (3-4 years)  and both are still going strong.   After trying various methods for my morning coffee, I have found that these presses make the absolute best cup coffee.  Finally replacing filters after several years of almost daily use.   So happy I made the investment in these pots….my son already wants to take them with him when he moves out! 9 Years Later April 14, 2026 Reviewer: Cody from Kentucky   I got on here to order a replacement filter for my french press and realized that I should probably write a review. I don't love reviews that have barely used a product, so I figured after owning one for nine years it's about time. This has been my favorite french press ever. We use it daily and take it with us camping and on vacation. It's super durable and simple. We have other coffee makers, but always prefer french press coffee so we keep using this instead. One complaint February 28, 2026 Reviewer: Jarrod Jensen from Houston, TX United States   I sought the product for quality and material.  It’s very nice but the one problem is the screw on connection between the plunger and the shaft seems weak and the plunger appears to wobble a bit when screwing on and under the stress of inserting it into the container.
